Utterly upset.
So much of a hospitality school. Teaching us good service, values of hospitality. And this is the kinda shit I get.
Last week of school, I went over to admin office to order my course synopsis as Monash uni needed it to assess my diploma and see hows the credit transfer like if I wanna take my degree in their uni.
When I asked if I cld have a copy of my course synopsis, they say I gotta pay for it. I was like “WHAT?!” a few sheets of paper, jus needed mere effort of someone standing there to press the buttons of the copier and perhaps that few drops of ink.. can’t they just do me this favour? Ive been studying there for 2 yrs, 12k of school fees, cant this be jus a favour to a student on the last day? Oh well, nvm, they are famous of money *with a thousand unsatisfying notes ringing in my head*
It was my last day, I really didn’t wanna make a big fuss over something I need pretty urgently. So I paid them and they say I cld collect it from sch a week later. Knwing I’ll be damn lazy to come all the way down to sch to collect it, I asked if it cld be mail to my house. Of course it was a “can” followed by “there’s a mailing charge of $5”
…………………………………………. *swallow that dissatisfaction down my throat*
Ok happily thought I cld get things done a week later when I receive their copy of course synopsis.
-1 WEEK LATER-
No news.
-2nd week-
I emailed them
-3rd week-
No reply
-4th week-
I emailed them to ask for a reply VERY POLITELY – i even flip my business communications textbook on tips to write a gd email
On wed of the week, Mich offered to help me call them and one of the admin staff claimed that it was on its way and will reach on Friday
-5th week-
oh, I think they sent an invisible mail to my place. Cos I didn’t receive anything by
Friday.
No reply still.
On a Friday (today) Im finally mad enough to blast at them.
I called school and they say they are unsure of who I spoke to. They claim that the didn’t receive BOTH of my mails when im so damn sure I got the right email add. Whatever they say, they were just trying to push the blame away.
10mins later, another admin staff called me back saying that they haven’t got an official stamp that’s why its not been sent out.
IS IT THAT HARD TO GET A STAMP?!
Oh ya, I forgot how hard it was to get things done when we needed so urgently during our C&E project.
And… whats all the “already on its way” and “ignoring my mails” for?
Hearing my upset voice, the admin staff offered to send me the softcopy by today and the hardcopy by next week.
But, whats the use when the dateline of the submission is today?
Sigh. It upsets me so much.
I very much wanna scream at them, to make them realize how much their inefficiency had cost me.
Another thought striked me immediately.. “gekteng, will it help? ”
Precisely, it wouldn’t.
anyhow, my deer is volunteering to help me write a complain letter, at least to vent the dissatisfaction.
This is some of the times where I get real disappointed with something.
I really wanna make myself feel better,
Like what wei pork say in her own situation…“I DESERVE MORE!”
